BETS IN KENO

There are several types of standard bets involved in a game of Keno. Placing bets in keno isn’t complicated, it is simple. Straight Tickets

One-spot straight ticket is a bet on a single number while a two-spot straight ticket is a bet made on two numbers. The commonest bet is a five-spot straight ticket at a price of $1, where five numbers are selected. To win this bet, three of the numbers selected by the player must come up on the balls. In case four winning balls are selected then the player is paid off at 9 to 1. And the player hits the jackpot if all the five balls are right, paying 800 to 1. Usually a player is permitted to bet on 1 to 15 numbers but a few casinos permit the players to bet on as many as 40 spots on a straight ticket. 

Special Tickets - 

These bets include four, five and six-spot specials. When the player bets on 4 to 6 numbers, a Specials checkbox appears in the Spots box on the Keno ticket. Then the player needs to click on the checkbox to change the ticket to a special bet. These Specials bets are more expensive to place, but they pay at better odds than a standard four or six spot straight ticket.

Split Tickets

With the spilt bet the player can play two or more games on one Keno Card. The player can select two groups of numbers and separate them with circles or lines. In case the player bets for $1 per group then the total bet will be $2.

Edge bets-

In the edge bet, all the numbers around the edge of the Keno ticket are selected as winning numbers by the player.

Top/Bottom Bet – 

In this bet, a high number of winning numbers will occur in the top or bottom half of the Keno ticket. There shall be no selection made on the ticket. Rather the betting is made that there will be many more numbers picked on either the top or bottom halves of the ticket. The more the imbalance between top and bottom, the higher the payoff.

Left/right Bet – 

In this bet, it indicates that a high number of winning numbers will occur in the left or right half of the Keno ticket. Here too there is no selection of spots done. Rather the betting is made that there will be many more numbers picked on either the left or right halves of the ticket.  The more the imbalance between left and right, the higher the payoff.
